Remembrance Day and the Two Minute Silence have been observed since the end of the First World War, but their relevance
remains undiminished. When we bow our heads in reflection, we remember those who fought for our freedom during the two World
Wars. But we also mourn and honour those who have lost their lives in more recent conflicts. Today, with troops on duty in
Afghanistan and other trouble spots around the world, Remembrance, and this two minute tribute, are as important as
ever. |

Since 1921, the nation has come together to remember the sacrifices that hundreds of thousands of British and Commonwealth Service men and women made not just during the Great War, but World War II and all subsequent wars and conflicts including Iraq and Afghanistan. |

Send us your personal message and we will transfer it onto a special Flanders Poppy and plant in the virtual poppy garden on your behalf. Each poppy costs £1.50 with all profit raised being donated to the Poppy Appeal. Each poppy will remain in place until 28th February 2010.
